Connecting Clickatell to FrontlineCloud

This article will help you connect your Clickatell account to FrontlineCloud. You are required to have a Clickatell account in order to complete the steps.  If you don't already have an account, please read Registering for a Clickatell Account to get started.

Once you have a Clickatell account, follow these step-by-step instructions to connect Clickatell  to FrontlineCloud. 

Note: You will need your Clickatell username, password, and API ID in order to complete the connection process.

Note: You should only have to do this process once, and FrontlineCloud will then automatically connect to Clickatell. From time to time, you may have to refresh your connection.

Step 1:Click the settings button to view the menu and from there click the connections link to go the connections page and click 'connect to mobile network' .

Step 2: Select 'Clickatell' from the options.

Step 3: On the next form, complete the information using details from your Clickatell account.

Enter a name of your choice in the 'Name' field e.g 'Frontline Clickatell'. This is purposely to help you identify your connection.

Add your Clickatell API ID, username and password to create the connection to your Clickatell account.

If you are in the United States, select the box for 'Send to USA' and add your phone number. Otherwise, leave the box unselected and click 'Save.

A Clickatell connection should be created in your workspace.  If the connection is successful, you should see a green circle next to your Connection, as indicated below. If not, you may need to disable the Connection, then edit it to make sure the details are correct.

You are now ready to send Messages from FrontlineCloud using your Clickatell account.  If you would like to receive Messages to your FrontlineCloud workspace through Clickatell, you will be required to set up a 2 way connection as explained in Creating a 2-way connection
